All coached riders are now competing for the best improvement award in power to weight ratio since Jan 1st 2010 and there are some remarkable performances-see below- and although initially satisfied the riders have now become seriously competitive and can see now even better possibilities, so proving an interesting exercise, so watch this space! In races Iain Grant continues to dominate the Scottish duathlon scene with 3 wins to date and qualifying for world champs in Sept and is proving to be an excellent short distance time trial rider. Sam Huddleston is impressing local pro teams with his aggressive brand of racing and with his remarkable engine and is making his presence felt in local Time trials. Beau Smith[age 16] is consolidating his 2009 season with 2nd place against senior in a triathlon race at Skipton in April and also won the Lancashire cross country title . Richard W now moving up the ranks of road racing in the south east . Terry S age 73 just joined the squad and looking to improve his road racing placings. Simon finished second in Howgill hammer sportive losing by the width of a timing chip and is starting to fly over in Yorkshire. Robyn and Roger win their age group classes in Pendle Clough fell race 14miles and 3900 feet of ascent within 3 weeks of completing prep camp -fantastico. |
